Our Story
Bam International Abu-Dhabi operates for clients worldwide covering all branches of civil engineering. Bam is recognized as having wide-ranging expertise in the maritime engineering field. Our work is embedded in the construction industry. This has created the ability to blend innovation with best practice in design and to provide practical solutions to fulfil stakeholder requirements.
Bam International Abu-Dhabi is a registered consultant with the major world funding organizations and with many bilateral aid organizations. Our clients include Central Governments, Port Authorities, Industrial Companies and Private Entrepreneurs.
Services are tailored to suit the needs of clients and may include the full range of services from technical due diligence studies, design to project management and contract services. Delta Marine Consultants is both able to lead or to form part of a multi-disciplinary team for a particular project.
Bam International Abu-Dhabi utilizes the latest professional engineering software packages. In addition we develop our own purpose-built software for in-house design and engineering applications.
Pile Driving Analysis and Dynamic Load Testing
First there is the pile design. Bam International can design and advise on the required pile type and length. Secondly the pile needs to be driven. Bam International can advise on the optimum driving hammer for the job. Pile driveability analysis is carried out based on the pile and soil data. Thirdly, when the pile is installed, predicted driving performance and pile capacity needs to be verified. Delta Marine Consultants offers PDA and DLT to monitor driving and evaluate pile capacity.
Equipment
PDA and DLT testing is carried out using 2 sensors, measuring strain and acceleration, bolted to the pile.
Pile Driving Analysis
PDA testing can performed on prefab concrete piles and steel piles.
Dynamic Load Testing
DLT testing can be performed on prefab concrete piles, steel piles, cast-in-situ concrete piles and wooden piles.

Organisation
The firm comprises a total of approximately 220 personnel, many of whom have been with the company for more than ten years. The range of skills includes civil, structural, coastal and geotechnical engineering together with other specialist groups and CAD drafting team.
About 65% of the BAM staff is closely connected to the disciplines of maritime structures and coastal engineering. The mix of young, excellently educated engineers and specialists enables a fresh and dedicated approach towards challenging tasks.
